iTunes (Windows)

1. Install latest iTunes from Apple's website
2. Connect device via USB cable
3. Put device in Recovery Mode (hold power + volume buttons)
4. Open iTunes, select your device
5. Hold Shift + click "Restore iPhone"
6. Select downloaded IPSW file
7. Wait for installation to complete

Finder (macOS Catalina+)

1. Connect device via USB cable
2. Put device in Recovery Mode

Open Finder, select device from sidebar

1. Hold Option + click "Restore iPhone"
2. Choose IPSW file
3. Wait for installation to complete

iTunes (macOS Mojave & Earlier)

1. Connect device via USB cable
2. Put device in Recovery Mode
3. Open iTunes, select device
4. Hold Option + click "Restore iPhone"
5. Choose IPSW file
6. Wait for installation to complete

3uTools (Windows Alternative)

1. Download and install 3uTools
2. Connect device via USB
3. Click "Flash & JB" tab
4. Click "Easy Flash"
5. Select "Import IPSW" and choose file
6. Click "Flash" to start
7. Wait for completion

Linux Terminal

1. Install: sudo apt install libimobiledevice-utils idevicerestore
2. Connect device and enter Recovery Mode
3. Run: idevicerestore -e /path/to/firmware.ipsw
4. Wait for completion

⚠️ Important: This process erases all device data. Backup first!
